If you consider yourself a WATER baby and/or you are one who yearns for the SNOW season, we want you!!! Snow skiing, snowboarding, waterskiing, wakeboarding, scuba diving, white water, paddle boarding, kayaking, sailing, travel and adventure... that's the gist of what this group is about but that doesn't mean other snow and water-related activities are off-limit, not even jacuzzi :). … Any activity in the backcountry is inherently dangerous, and skiing/snowboarding is no exception.  Our activities will be unguided (unless otherwise stated) and each member is responsible for her/his own safety.  It is your job to recognize hazards and make decisions.  Most of our activities will involve some form of practice in decision making, avalanche safety, etc., but ultimately your safety is your own responsibility.

Friends of Outdoor Outreach is about doing fun activities in the San Diego area. This is a place for friends and supporters of Outdoor Outreach to organize together to do what we do best - play outside! And since we can't always play outside, sometimes we'll play inside too.

Use your poles like you would train for Nordic Skiing, Downhill Skiing or a Mountaineering adventure.  We will talk about the ways to use our poles and learn pole control.    Nordic Walking can be good for so many things
